(July 13 – 11:35 ET) – Count fund analyst Steve Kangas as one of the first casualties of the merger betweem TD Bank and Canada Trust.

Kangas has signed on as managing editor of www.fundlibrary.com as of July 5.

He comes to the Fund Library and the soon-to-be-launch Web research site, www.streetviews.com, from Canada Trust where he was vice president, mutual funds research and marketing. TD and Canada Trust merged earlier this year; the brokerage subsidiaries were formally merged May 20.

Prior to joining Canada Trust, Kangas was vice president mutual funds research at each of Midland Walwyn Capital Inc. and Nesbitt Burns Inc.
