Janus International announced today the appointment of Robert Broley, as its Regional Director for Canada.
Broley, based in Toronto, will be responsible for overseeing and expanding Janus’ retail, sub-advisory and institutional sales activities in Canada..
Broley was most recently vice president of business development at JP Morgan Fleming, working on the firm’s Canadian operations. He was then responsible for developing and expanding the firm’s client relationships and providing day-to-day servicing for existing clients. He has also worked for investment manager Capital Guardian in a similar position. Between 1998 and 1999 Broley was an analyst with global consulting firm Towers Perrin, though he began his career in 1995 with Republic National Bank of New York.
“Increasingly, Canada will play an important part in our growth plans as we look to build on our successful sub advisory retail relationships with Mackenzie and its affiliated companies,” said Richard Garland, Chief Executive Officer for Janus International in a news release. “Robert’s experience in the institutional and retail markets in Canada, combined with his proven ability in developing and servicing client relationships, make him ideally placed to grow our Canadian activities.”
Janus International Limited offers funds modeled after some of Janus’ strongest-performing US-based funds. For less aggressive investors, Janus offers funds with a mix of stocks and bonds or a portfolio of high yield bonds. More aggressive investors choose from funds targeting growth stocks of large American companies. Janus manages approximately US$134 billion in assets and works with over four million mutual fund clients worldwide.
