Steve Smith has joined Hesperian Capital Management Ltd. as vice president and energy specialist.

Smith and chairman and CEO Randy Oliver will be responsible for the Norrep Performance 2004 Flow-Through Limited Partnership, the Norrep Performance 2005 FTLP, the Norrep Performance 2006 FTLP,and the Norrep Performance 2007 FTLP.

Smith will also contribute to the management of the firm’s energy equities for its mutual fund and other fund products. Smith has a long track record in Calgary, including 12 years in oil and gas company operations and 12 years with various brokerage firms as an oil and gas analyst.
