The Financial Executives International Canada (FEI Canada), the professional membership association for senior financial executives, today announced the appointment of Michael Conway, to the position of chief executive and national president, effective immediately.
“The board and I are pleased to welcome Michael into the senior executive team,” said Louis O’Brien, chairman of the board. “Michael’s expertise, extensive experience and understanding of member needs will serve FEI Canada’s membership well in the years to come.”
Conway brings a wealth of financial and business knowledge and experience, from Canadian and European markets, to FEI Canada having held progressively senior financial executive positions throughout his career. Most notably, he held the positions of senior vp & CFO at Psion Teklogix, vp & controller at BCE, and vp & chief accountant at Royal Bank of Canada.
A long-time FEI Canada member, Conway is past president of the Toronto chapter, past director of the Quebec chapter and was chairman of FEI Canada’s 2006 North American conference.
He holds a Management degree from McGill University, is a graduate of the Directors Education Program at the Rotman School of Management and obtained his ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2006.
