(April 11 – 18:40 ET) – Sterling Mutuals Inc. has lured Dan Hallett away from FundMonitor.com. Hallett has taken the position of senior investment analyst and head of investment research.

He will offer his views on Canada’s mutual fund universe, along with other investment and financial planning research. He will also support Sterling’s financial advisors. “We’re very excited about Dan’s future with Sterling and expect that his research will add a lot of value to the services we currently offer,” Rocky Ieraci, Sterling’s vice president marketing said in a press release.

“I am looking forward to launching Sterling’s investment research division and to providing the firm’s clients with meaningful analysis and insight into Canada’s vast array of investment options,” says Hallett.

Sterling is a mutual fund dealer based in Windsor, Ont. with over $100 million in assets under administration. It also has offices in B.C. and Manitoba. It was founded in 1995 as a deep discount dealer and was one of the first independent dealers to go online.
