(September 22 – 14: 30 ET) – Clarica Life Insurance Company employees and retirees have raised $573,200 for the Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario United Way. The company’s 2000 campaign has been the most successful, surpassing this year’s goal of $535,000 and the previous record of $529,921 raised in 1999.

“We are extremely grateful for the strong support shown by Clarica’s people. Clarica continues to take a leadership role in supporting the United Way and the Kitchener-Waterloo community,” says Anne MacKay, Director of Development, United Way of Kitchener-Waterloo.

Clarica will continue to accept United Way pledges through October. The 2000 United Way Kitchener-Waterloo campaign goal is $4.8 million and contributions so far have topped $1.4 million.
