(January 6 – 16:30 ET) – Rikki V. Chow has joined the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation as president and Chief Executive Officer.
Chow has significant experience in clearing and settlement operations in international banking, says CDCC. He worked initially with JP Morgan in Switzerland where he held management positions in Systems, Securities Settlement and Custody Operations, and Financial Management. Chow subsequently moved to Euroclear, the world-leading clearinghouse for internationally traded securities in Brussels, where he worked as vice president of Banking Infrastructure developing ancillary services for the clearinghouse.
After moving to Canada in 1996, says CDCC, Chow became a senior member of the Financial Services practice of Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting Division, where he helped build a group practicing in Securities Clearing, Settlement and Custody.
CDCC is the issuer, clearinghouse and guarantor of all exchange-traded derivative contracts that trade on the Montreal Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange.
