The Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors has elected its national board of directors for the 2001/2002 year. This year’s board of industry and association leaders, headed by newly elected chair Lee Raine, will dedicate its term to promoting the benefits of working with CAIFA advisors and to revitalizing and strengthening the value that CAIFA’s 51 chapters bring to their local communities.

“Throughout the past year, CAIFA has focussed its efforts on raising consumer awareness of the value of working with a professional advisor,” says Raine. “Now itÕs time to ensure that CAIFAÕs 51 chapters have the support and the resources they need to play a major role in communicating that message within their
local communities.” Raine made the remarks this weekend at CAIFAÕs annual conference in Toronto.

Drawn from all regions of Canada, the officers and directors for the 2001/2002 term are: Chairman Lee Raine of Calgary; Vice-Chair Gary McLeod from Toronto; Treasurer Brian Mallard, of Saskatoon; and past Chairman Jim Rogers hails from Vancouver.

The board’s Atlantic reps are Raymond Bourgeois and Corry Collins. From Quebec, thereÕs Daniel Audet. Ontario’s reps include Tammy Buss, Howard Haskings, Roger McMillan, Art Schooley, Jeffrey White and Michele Wilson. The prairies are represented by Blaine Schultz and George Sigurdson. The
