(June 14 -10:10 ET) – Bank of America Canada announced today the appointment of Donald Stewart as president and CEO. Stewart, a native of Toronto, brings more than 20 years of global financial industry experience to his new role. Most recently he was a managing director, Corporate and Investment Banking, in Toronto, and a member of the board of directors.

Stewart replaces current president and CEO, John Masters, who will be relocating to San Francisco with Banc of America Securities as global industry manager for the paper and forest products group. He will continue as a member of the Board of Directors at Bank of America Canada.
