AIG United Guaranty announced on Friday that Maria Pimenta will serve as vice president of sales for AIG United Guaranty Canada, pending regulatory approvals.

Pimenta most recently managed specialized sales forces for the Royal Bank of Canada, for which she oversaw strategic planning, training, analysis, and program development for the company’s sales force. According to Andy Charles, who will serve as president and CEO of Canadian operations, “Maria is an excellent addition to our leadership team and we are very pleased to have her join our new organization. As a proven sales leader within the financial services industry, Maria has the experience, drive and passion to help us build a strong, focused and customer centric sales organization.”
