(March 23 – 11:15 ET) – AIC Group of Funds have made several portfolio management team appointments. James Cole, CFA, has been appointed Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager. Randy LeClair, CFA, has been made Vice President
and Portfolio Manager; and Michele Calpin is the new Vice President, U.S. Equities.

James Cole brings almost 20 years of investment experience to AIC including eight years as a portfolio manager managing Canadian equity funds. Most recently, Mr. Cole held the position of portfolio manager with Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc. where he managed Canadian equities for institutional clients. Prior to this, Cole was vice president and portfolio manager with Beutel, Goodman & Company Ltd. Cole also spent five years as a securities analyst with McCarthy Securities before joining BBN James Capel Inc. in 1988 as vice president, institutional research.

Randy LeClair brings to his position extensive experience in fixed income securities, having held the position of senior analyst with AIC’s portfolio management team. Prior to joining AIC, LeClair held positions in retail banking and insurance, as an investment analyst for multi-asset portfolios including Canadian equities, fixed income investments, mortgages, and real estate.

Michele Calpin brings t experience in valuation and business analysis across many industry sectors gained through progressive positions at McKinsey & Company, a leading management consulting firm. Calpin was a leader of McKinsey’s Corporate Finance and Strategy Practice and counseled CEOs and their management teams in the area of strategy and organization. Ms. Calpin also worked for Loyalty Management Group
(AirMiles) in the U.S. and has been an owner of and advisor to justwhiteshirts.com.
