AGF Funds Inc. today announced the appointment of Gary Wing, as senior vp, institutional investment services. In this newly created position, Wing is responsible for driving institutional sales of AGF’s institutional investment management expertise.

“AGF is committed to strengthening this important dimension of our business and we are ensuring that we have the right people and strategies to accomplish that goal,” said Randy Ambrosie, executive vp, sales and marketing. “Gary brings a wealth of experience and relationships on the institutional side that will reinforce our approach in this key area.”

Wing joins AGF with more than 20 years financial services experience in Europe, Asia and Canada. Most recently, he was vp, institutional, for Franklin Templeton in Toronto.

Prior to that, he held increasingly responsible positions with Royal Trust, where he established a pan-European investment company, and Baring Asset Management and JP Morgan Chase.
