The International Organization of Securities Commissions is planning to bring its annual meeting to Canada in 2010.

IOSCO, which just concluded its latest conference in Mumbai, announced that during meetings this week, it voted for Montreal to be the host for the annual conference in 2010. Paris will host the meeting in 2008, followed by Tel Aviv in 2009.

Also, IOSCO Secretary General, Philippe Richard, announced that he will leave the position once his current term expires in October.

The executive committee said it will soon recruit a new Secretary General and the position will be advertised on the IOSCO Web site.
