(February 7 – 11:00 ET) – TD Waterhouse Investor Services has launched wireless trading of equities, options and mutual funds.
The service is compatible with all wireless service carriers and browser-equipped telephones.
The bilingual service is available in English and French to customers of Bell Mobility, Clearnet, Telus Mobility, Aliant Mobility and MTS Mobility. TD Waterhouse customers who currently invest online are automatically registered for the new wireless services.
The firm also recently launched a free wireless information service that allows all users of Internet-ready phones (including non-clients) to obtain delayed stock quotes, index quotes and market news via the TD.COM integrated wireless banking and brokerage platform. Users of wireless, web-enabled phones that display graphics can also access free equity charts.
TD Waterhouse says the addition of options and mutual fund trading marks a significant upgrade to the broker’s wireless investing capabilities and gives clients using Mobile Browser-enabled PCS phones greater control over their investments.
“Our wireless service empowers our clients to place buy and sell orders when they want, from wherever they want, with real-time market information,” says John See, vice chair TD Waterhouse. “We are committed to delivering technology that helps make it easier for our clients to manage their own finances.”
