TD Bank Financial Group today released its second annual public accountability statement entitled “The Future Matters.”

The report describes TD ‘s commitment to Canadians and communities; support for customers and employees; concern for the environment; and focus on maximizing long-term value for shareholders.

“At TD we believe that vigorously promoting and supporting the needs of all our stakeholders, and being open and transparent about how we do so, are integral to building lasting relationships and success,” said John Thompson, TD chairman, in a release. “This report provides information about our community, social, economic and environmental performance during 2003, as well as ongoing activities and commitments in these areas that are vital to our stakeholders.”
