(April 2 – 11:20 ET) – Morgan Stanley Dean Witter is dropping its old Dean Witter name and adopting a new logo today.
As part of an ongoing global branding initiative, the firm has changed its brand name to “Morgan Stanley” and unveiled its new signature. The legal name remains Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. The firms were merged back in 1997.
Last year, Morgan Stanley launched a global branding effort. The initiative included the new “Well Connected” ad campaign for its retail group and the “Network the World” campaign for its institutional business.
The latest “Well Connected” campaign featuring the new signature will begin tomorrow in several U.S. newspapers.
