A world-class roster of experts with cross-sector, global and multi-disciplinary expertise will share their knowledge regarding cyber security at the International Cyber Risk Management Conference in late Spring.

The conference will be held in Montreal from June 14 to 16.

“The level of interest and support from the global community for this conference reinforces the critical fact that cyber risk management is everyone’s business and best practices need to take a multi-disciplinary approach,” says Joel Baker, president and chief executive officer of MSA Research Inc., an analytical research firm that focuses on the insurance industry. MSA Research is also hosting the conference.

The three-day conference will feature a discussion on regulatory perspectives and whether regulations concerning institutions’ risk management go far enough. Speakers will include Steve Randich, executive vice president and chief information officer for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and Narindar Bhavnani, director of operational risk for the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

The conference will also hold a talk entitled, “Embedding cyber into enterprise risk,” where the ways in which cyber risk can be detrimental to business practices will be discussed. Salim Hasham, partner and cyber resilience and information security leader for PwC, and John Schramm, vice president of global information risk management and chief information risk officer for Manulife Financial, will be among the speakers.
