(April 30 – 14:30 ET) – Canaccord Capital Corp. has appointed of Peter Marrone as its new head of investment banking. Marrone will be responsible for all aspects of specialized investment banking services for the firm’s corporate clients in Canada and Europe.
Based in Canaccord Toronto office, Marrone will focus on serving the capital needs of the firm’s corporate finance clients with special attention to merger and acquisition activity and other investment banking services including initial public offerings, new issues, private placements and cross-border financings.

Prior to joining Canaccord, Marrone was a senior partner at the law firm of Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, concentrating on securities, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. His practice focused on domestic and international technology companies as well as companies in traditional sectors. His clients included public companies, venture capital funds and investment dealers in Canadian, cross-border and international transactions.
Marrone has also served as a director for a number of Canadian companies and has lectured on securities law issues at national and international conferences. He was called to the bar in 1986 having received his LLB from Osgood Hall Law School in 1984.
