BMO Nesbitt Burns reports that one employee is unaccounted for in the World Trade Center disaster.

Ian Blair, corporate communications with BMO, says that, “We do have one person missing. David Barkway, managing director capital markets with Nesbitt in Toronto, had a meeting in the Trade Center at the time of the attack. We have had no contact with him since.”

Barkway is a registered futures trader and a member of the futures committee of the Investment Dealers Association. Blair says that Barkway was at the WTC meeting a client on the 105th floor to take a look at an electronic trading system.

Apart from Barkway, Blair says that BMO has an office with about 300 employees in the Reuters Building in Times Square in mid-town Manhattan. Most of these employees are with BMO Nesbitt Burns’ investment and corporate banking division. “They have all been accounted for,” he says.
