AGF Management Ltd. (TSX:AGF.B) officially opened an office in Hong Kong Wednesday and announced that Wee Ping Nah has been named managing director, business development, AGF Investments Asia Ltd, as the company continues to expand its institutional business globally.

AGF already has offices in Boston and Toronto geared to the institutional market and expects to extend its international expertise even further in the weeks ahead.

Based in Hong Kong, Nah will build a team and lead both business development and client servicing of existing institutional clients in Asia Pacific.

Nah started his career as a fixed-income capital markets analyst at a major investment bank, and entered the asset management industry in 1997. Since then, he has developed extensive experience in selling to and servicing institutional clients across the region, including government funds, pension, insurance companies, multi-managers and consultants.

“AGF has had a long relationship with the Asian community and Nah will build on that strong foundation,” stated Gary Wing, AGF Senior Vice President, Institutional. “His wealth of knowledge of the industry, the geography and the needs of institutional clients is key to AGF’s growth in the region.”
