The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is seeking industry representatives to serve on its Registrant Advisory Committee (RAC), the commission announced Friday.

The RAC which acts as a forum to discuss issues and challenges faced by registered firms. such as dealers and fund managers, to advise the regulator on challenges that they face in complying with securities law, and to provide the commission with feedback on the development and implementation of regulatory policy.

The committee consists of between 10 and 12 members drawn from a cross section of various registration categories and different business models. It generally meets four times a year. Appointments are for 24 months

The RAC is chaired by Debra Foubert, director, compliance and registrant regulation, OSC.

Applications are due by Oct. 26.
