(September 26 – 16:00 ET) – The Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors elected its national board of directors for the 2000/2001 year at its national conference in Saskatoon this morning.

Jim Rogers of Rogers Financial in Vancouver remains chair, supported by vice-chair Leslie Macdonald Francis. Gary McLeod is the chair of the CAIFA Institute, and Kenneth Lee Raine is treasurer.

This year’s board says it will dedicate its term to both the continued transformation of CAIFA from that of a trade to a professional association and the expanded delivery of enhanced, value-added services to the membership.

The Atlantic region will be represented by Raymond Bourgeois, Lynne Fleming. Andre Richard represents Quebec. From the Prairies, it’s Brian Mallard and Donna Winstone. The Pacific region can look to Kevin McLaughlin and Randy Reynolds. Ontario will get representation from Carol Burtonshaw, Howard Haskings, Lorne Jackson, Michael Skube, Art Schooley and Jeffrey White.
