(August 2 – 13:15 ET) – The Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors is teaming up with f/A Connect in an alliance to offer Web-based resources to its members.
Beginning October 1, CAIFA has paid the f/A Connect subscription cost for the 18,000 financial advisors it represents for a full year. In the future the service will be available to CAIFA members at a significant discount.
Under the terms of the deal, CAIFA members will be able to complete professional development courses and track continuing education credits online. They will also be able to set up their own interactive Web sites, and send personalized messages, including product brochures, financial reports, prospectuses, forms, applications and other materials, to their clients.
“This initiative gives our members an important competitive advantage because it ultimately assists them in serving their clients better,” said Jim Rogers, chairman of CAIFA, “CAIFA members will now have the tools to deliver a level of enhanced personal service that consumers say they want and expect. It opens up the lines of communication and brings the client closer to the advisor,” Rogers said.
“This alliance truly demonstrates CAIFA’s strong commitment to using Web-based technology to foster improved communication, product knowledge and personalized financial advice,” says Tracey Wood, president and CEO of f/A Connect. “We are delighted that our online community-building expertise is playing such an integral role in this vision.”
