(September 25 – 15:00 ET) – The Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors has selected the Vancouver-Fraser Valley Chapter as the recipient of this year’s Totem Pole Award. The award recognizes excellence in member service. The honour was presented to Bill Wickett, chapter past president on September 24 at CAIFA’s national conference in Saskatoon.

“Our chapter executive has always been committed to providing progressive and relevant professional development programs that meet the needs of all our members,” said Wickett. “Our members told us that they wanted a strategy for continuing education that went beyond the obligatory requirements to remain licensed. The chapter is going to continue to focus its efforts in the coming year on providing chapter members with the best value for their membership,” added Wickett.

The Vancouver-Fraser Valley chappter was one of eight finalists competing for the top honour. Runners-up included the Calgary, Greater Hamilton, Newfoundland, Ottawa, Peel-Halton, Toronto and South Saskatchewan chapters.

CAIFA’s totem pole program was created in 1916 to recognize CAIFA chapters who provide outstanding service to members.
