More and more Canadians are choosing to file their income tax returns electronically. John McCallum, Minister of National Revenue, says that trend shows no signs of letting up, and that electronic filing is more popular than ever.
“More than a million Canadians filed their tax returns on-line by the end of February, which is a record pace for the Canada Revenue Agency”, said McCallum, in a release.
Last year more than 11 million Canadians filed their tax returns electronically.
“If you’ve got a refund coming, electronic filing is the fastest way to get your money. There’s no paper return or receipts to mail, and you get immediate confirmation that your return has been received”, said McCallum.
