(September 9 – 15:00 ET) – C.I. Fund Management Inc. is
making a portfolio management change to the BPI Asia Pacific
Fund, effective September 1, 1999.
Credit Suisse Asset Management LLC has been appointed as the
investment manager for the Fund. CSAM replaces Asia Strategic
Investment Management Limited which managed the Fund’s portfolio
since August 30, 1996.
CSAM has advised many of the C.I. Funds since inception. With global
investing centres in New York and London, CSAM currently manages assets
exceeding (US)$157 billion for a diverse client base in over 35
countries. Using advanced asset allocation models, CSAM has substantial
strengths across a wide range of fixed-income and equity
investments.
This portfolio management change is a part of C.I.’s ongoing review
of its fund offerings following the acquisition of BPI Financial
Corporation.
