Raymond James Ltd.’s widely respected CEO Jamie Coulter’s decision to step down at the end of September may have been this year’s most high-profile industry move, but it was hardly the year’s only big personnel story. Packed as it was with merger-and-acquisition announcements, 2025 saw plenty of advisors and their teams ordering new business cards.

Highlights from our reporting in 2025:

  • BMO Private Wealth: Kevin O’Sullivan joined as a senior portfolio manager, from RBC Dominion Securities.
  • Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management: Brian Lonsdale joined as senior wealth advisor and portfolio manager, from CIBC Wood Gundy.
  • CI Assante Wealth Management: Rajeev KudsiaCameron Leith and Samuel White joined from Manulife Securities. Eleven advisors from Mallard Wealth Advisors joined. They include senior wealth advisors Tanis RobertsonDonald BristowSarah Kolla-Empey and Derek Kennedy, and advisors Michael WongMitchell Haver, Carter Cheveldayoff and Britney Hayes. Mallard Wealth founder Brian Mallard retired.
  • CIBC Wood Gundy: Young Sub Lee joined as a senior portfolio manager and senior investment advisor, from Manulife Wealth. Greg Obertas and Tim Wyman joined from TD Wealth Private Investment Advice, bringing their team at Longview Wealth Management with them. David M. Predovich and Jordan Alexander also left TD Wealth to join CIBC, with their team at Boulevard Group Wealth Management.
  • Designed Wealth Management: Jason Jack and his team joined from Investia Financial Services (part of iA Financial Group).
  • Harbourfront Wealth Management: Thirteen advisors and another 13 support staff joined from Manulife Wealth, including Kelly FagundesJoe Silva, Joe PintoPaul PolyviouRichard MarquesJohn DrakeGilda Gomes da CostaFernando Da SilvaJohn GomesZiad MusharbashHarbs Singh GillRick Iannucci and Andrew Arthur FoxPhil Kuzyk, Camillo Di Prata and Jaime Carrasco all joined from Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management.
  • IA Private Wealth: Jackie Porter joined as a mutual fund advisor and financial planner, from Carte Wealth Management Inc.
  • IG Wealth Management: Jennifer Fedrun joined as executive financial consultant, moving over from Manulife Securities. So did Michael Arts and his team, including Chris Thornton and Chris Chapman. Ray Bukovy, Paul Scott and Sean Middaugh left Manulife Wealth to become senior financial consultants at IG. Kevin McAdamsBrad ThompsonGreg GlistaPatrick Keyser also joined from Manulife Wealth.
  • Manulife Wealth: Danny Montesi joined as a senior investment advisor, after four years with Richardson Wealth. Joseph Bakish and six team members also joined from Richardson Wealth.
  • National Bank Financial: Greg Bieber joined as a senior wealth advisor and portfolio manager, bringing wealth advisor and associate portfolio manager Chris Daniels and three associates from Richardson Wealth. Steven Krupica, a senior wealth advisor and portfolio manager, joined with his Tempus Wealth team from CIBC Wood Gundy.
  • Precision Wealth Management: Miles Clyne joined as a wealth advisor, from Q Wealth Partners.
  • Q Wealth Partners: Michelle Connolly left Raymond James to join as head of advanced wealth planning.
  • Raymond James Ltd.: Éric Lauzon, formerly of CI Assante Wealth Management, was named senior vice-president, growth and development. Steve Reimer joined as a senior portfolio manager and investment advisor, moving over from Richardson Wealth. Martin Wealth Management, Miles Wealth Management Group and Ruban Stark Wealth Partners left Richardson Wealth Ltd. to open a new office in Winnipeg.
  • Richardson Wealth: Faisal Khorshid and Paul Bourgeault joined from IG Wealth Management as senior wealth advisors.
  • Scotia Wealth Management: Eric Muir joined as a senior wealth advisor and portfolio manager, leaving Raymond James Ltd.
  • Wellington-Altus Private Wealth: Marc LeBlanc joined as a senior portfolio manager, bringing his LeBlanc Family Wealth team from CIBC Wood Gundy.
