Toronto-based Munich Reinsurance Co. Canada (Munich Re) announced on Monday that Marc-André Giguère is now the firm’s senior vice president of in force management for its North American life business.
Giguère’s new role will have him provide leadership and direction for in force treaty management and tax management planning within the firm’s Canadian and U.S. life operations.
“Marc-André is a well-known and respected leader within the North American life insurance industry,” says Mary Forrest, president and CEO, Munich Re, North America (Life), in a statement. “His expertise and deep industry knowledge will create great value and bring our North American organization to new levels.”
Giguère comes to Munich Re from Ernst & Young Canada, at which he was partner and Canadian national insurance leader.
