Tristone Capital Inc. announced that it is beefing up its U.S. operations with a couple of new hires.

The firm announced the hiring of Jon Goddard, vice president and director Investment Banking, and David Bruce Cox, vice president and director, in Houston.

Goddard will join Tristone’s global Corporate Finance group with a focus on the U.S. He joins Tristone Capital from Friedman Billings Ramsey where he was senior vice president, Energy Investment Banking and was involved with the origination and execution of in excess of $2 billion of public and private capital markets transactions for E&P and midstream clients.

Cox will manage Tristone Capital’s U.S. technical staff in support of its Houston A&D and investment banking activities. Since 1990, Cox has been with Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc., most recently as senior vice president.

“Tristone is very pleased to have these two highly qualified individuals to further develop Tristone’s global advisory platform,” said George Gosbee, chairman, CEO and president of Tristone Capital. “Jon will be instrumental in expanding Tristone’s corporate finance activities in the United States, while Bruce, with his strong technical background, further strengthens Tristone’s technical resources for A&D, M&A, and Corporate Finance in the United States.”
