(March 20 – 11:30 ET) – The Toronto Stock Exchange has granted an extension of the Sun Life Financial Services share selling program to 16:00 ET, May 25, 2001.
It was originally scheduled to expire on Mar. 19, 2001. The program enables registered and beneficial holders who owned 99 or fewer common shares of the company as of Jan. 18, 2001, to sell their shares without incurring brokerage commissions.
This voluntary program is open to qualifying shareholders of record as of Jan. 18, 2001. Both registered and beneficial holders of the shares held in nominee form are eligible to participate.
Sun Life Financial Services of Canada Inc. has retained Georgeson Shareholder Communications Canada, Inc. to manage the program. Questions regarding the program should be directed to Georgeson Shareholder Communications Canada, Inc. in English at 1-800-890-1037 and in French at 1-888-890-2933.
