  • Roy Ratnavel will retire from CI Global Asset Management as of Aug. 31. He was most recently executive vice-president and head of distribution and will be vice-chairman of distribution until his departure. His successor will be Jennifer Sinopoli, currently senior vice-president and head of distribution for central Canada, who has spent most of her career working with the company in various roles.
  • Brian Mennis is the new senior vice-president and head of corporate development at Harbourfront Wealth Management Inc. Alongside recruitment-focused responsibilities, he’ll support advisors and nearly 300 staff in 28 branches across Canada, a release said. Mennis comes from IG Wealth Management where he worked for more than 30 years and was most recently a regional vice-president.
  • Nicolas Piquard recently moved from Horizons ETFs to Toronto-based Hamilton ETFs, where he is chief options strategist. Piquard was a portfolio manager at his previous firm for nearly 11 years and has worked in the investment industry for more than 25 years.
  • Sandra Kamstra is now vice-president of wealth for Guelph, Ont.-based Co-operators, moving from Aviso Wealth where she was vice-president and co-head of national sales. Aviso is partly owned by Co-operators through its CUMIS subsidiary.
