Kingston, Ont.-based Empire Life Insurance Co. Monday announced a couple of senior appointments.
Sean Kilburn has been named senior vice president, retail and will lead both the insurance and investment lines of business for Empire Life.
Kilburn joined Empire Life in 2013 to lead the insurance marketing, distribution and operations divisions. He has extensive experience in the financial services industry, including head of insurance, warranty, gift card and money services for Walmart Canada, president and CEO of TD LifeGroup, president of Canada Trust Assurance, and chief financial officer for Canada Trust Assurance and Manulife, individual life centre.
Jatinder Parhar has been appointed vice president, insurance operations.
Parhar has been with Empire Life since 2008, and was most recently vice president, strategy and planning. He will be responsible for the customer and advisor experience from application to claim, including new business processing, customer service, inforce administration, underwriting and claims.
