Toronto-based Marquest Asset Management Inc. said Wednesday that Gerald Brockelsby, the firm’s founder, has been re-appointed as chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Brockelsby replaces Michael Butler who has left the firm.
The deal will see Loblaw take about a 16% stake in the bank
Its Canadian wealth management revenue was up 18% in the quarter from a year earlier
The bank also appointed Tammy Brown to its board of directors
