Manulife’s Indonesian subsidiary, PT Asuransi Jiwa Manulife Indonesia, won the title of best life insurance company in Indonesia in an annual insurance company rating competition organized by one of the country’s most respected business magazines.
The competition, held annually by InfoBank, a monthly analytical banking and financial magazine, is recognized as the most independent analysis of the relative strengths of Indonesia’s insurance companies. The first prize awarded to Manulife Indonesia recognizes the outstanding financial strength Manulife Indonesia has acquired over the past three years. The InfoBank rating criteria is based on the gross premium growth of the company, its capital growth, liabilities, overall investment and active fixed assets, as well as the company’s net investment revenue and profitability before tax. Out of 53 life insurance companies assessed, Manulife Indonesia placed first with an overall ‘excellent’ rating.
