Investors Group today launched Canada’s largest tax advantaged fund structure featuring tax deferred switching between 46 mutual funds offered by nine of North America’s leading investment advisors.
The funds include offerings of Investors Group’s own Masterseries Funds advised by I.G. Investment Management as well as funds advised by AGF Funds Inc., Beutel, Goodman & Company, Fidelity Investments, Franklin Templeton Investments, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Janus International, Mackenzie Financial Corp., and Sceptre Investment Counsel.
Investors Group Corporate Class structure will include six global sector funds that will provide clients with an additional way of diversifying their portfolio and help reduce investment risk. With global sector investing, individuals diversify their portfolio among various economic sectors such as financial services, health care and natural resources.
“With Investors Group Corporate Class, you have the ability to make asset allocation shifts without immediate tax consequences at the time of the switch. And that’s an effective tax-deferral strategy that can work for you,” said Scott Penman, president of IG Investment Management, in a news release.
