A hearing panel of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada has fined William Richard Booth Bell Wright, a Vancouver branch manager of Yorkton Securities Inc., $25,000, plus another $5,000 in costs.
According to a settlement agreement, between March 2000 and April 2001,Wright failed to properly supervise the opening of, and the activity in, the joint account of two clients, and failed to properly supervise the activity in the accounts of another client.
Wright must also re-write and pass the Partners, Directors and Officers examination within 12 months.
