(January 18 – 16:20 ET) – The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and its subsidiary, CDP Services financiers. are sponsoring the Café des investisseurs at the Salon Epargne-Placements, to be held in Quebec City from January 18 to 21, and in Montreal, from January 26 to 29.

The event is being held to help investors increase their knowledge of investment strategies. Quebec mutual fund experts, who actively manage billions of dollars, will be on hand to share their expertise with Salon visitors. As well, visitors will be able to attend presentations and interviews featuring Quebec mutual fund managers.

Visitors to the Salon will be able to consult the Quebec Mutual Fund List, a directory of some 450 mutual funds compiled to guide savers. The list is also available on the Internet.

Through these initiatives, the Caisse is seeking to demonstrate its confidence in Quebec fund managers by creating an environment of collaboration and promoting their growth. Indeed, one of its subsidiaries, CDP Services financiers, is mandated to actively contribute to the promotion and development of the management of mutual funds in Quebec by supporting partnerships with financial services companies.
