B2B Trust has appointed Bernard Piché as president, CEO and director, replacing Henri-Paul Rousseau.

Piché, who will officially assume his new duties on September 1, has until now held the positions of co-chief operating officer and CFO of B2B Trust. Raymond McManus, who is president and CEO of Laurentian Bank, will become chairman of the board of B2B Trust, replacing Jean Bazin.

Commenting on Piché’s appointment in a release, McManus said, “As the results for the period attest, B2B Trust has acquired a certain maturity since its initial public offering last year. This is largely due to the excellent teamwork led with skill and inspiration by Mr. Piché and his colleagues. His appointment today shows yet again the degree of confidence that the members of B2B Trust’s Board have in his leadership and consummate professionalism.”

“The last year has seen us solidify the company’s foundations by achieving significant penetration of the financial intermediary market in Canada, increasing our strategic alliances and developing a new technology platform that enhances our competitive edge. It is on this foundation that, with the support of my colleagues, I intend to build the company’s future growth, to the benefit of our clients, shareholders and employees,” said Piché.
