Unity Life of Canada today announced it has received regulatory approval to acquire the Canadian insurance business of Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Co. Lincoln Heritage Life operates in Canada as Superior Life. The transaction is effective as of January 1, 2004.

According to Unity Life, the acquisition adds scale to the company’s book of life business and demonstrates the its ongoing strategy to pursue value-added acquisitions.

Policy administration services will be provided on behalf of Unity Life by GeniSys, a leading provider of front and back-end policy administration solutions for the international life and health insurance market.
