Ron Mock has been appointed a senior fellow of the C.D. Howe Institute.

Mock, who has extensive experience in both long-term fund investing and pension administration, served as president and CEO of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan from 2014 to December 2019.

Prior to that, he worked with investment dealer Burns Fry (now BMO Nesbitt Burns) and held the firm’s membership seat on the Chicago Board of Trade.

“Ron has had an extraordinary career, culminating in his leadership of one of Canada’s stand-out pension successes,” William Robson, president and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, said in a release.

“We are delighted to welcome him to the C.D. Howe Institute as a Senior Fellow, and look forward to collaborating with him across our work program.”
