(February 22 – 14:45 ET) – Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada has added a personal financial services Web site to its www.sunlife.ca address.

The new Web site allows consumers to do their own online research on RRSP products and other Sun Life Financial services. Once they’ve made a buying decision, consumers can then click on an “Advisor Link” to connect to a professional advisor for personal assistance.

“Our research has shown that our customers want to combine online research with the ability to discuss their financial plans with an advisor — and this Web site innovation lets them do both,” said Allen Bessel, vice president, retail marketing, Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada.

Other features of the new site include rate updates, section that helps consumers match their RRSP planning to their own unique set of life circumstances, and an alert feature that provides e-mail notices when new additions are made to the Web site.
