(October 3 – 16:55 ET) – Investment advisors and financial planners will want to tell their clients about a new television series on personal finance.. Report on Business Television will premiere Money Wise hosted by Patricia Lovett-Reid on October 11.
Presented by Dynamic Mutual Funds, the show will air Wednesday nights from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Eastern and be carried nationally. Prior to joining ROBTv, Lovett-Reid was a senior executive with TD Asset Management where she frequently acted as a spokesperson on wealth management issues.
Each episode will be thematic and feature a lead guest followed by a panel discussion and real life case study involving an individual Canadian or family. There will also be the “Money Wise Watchdog,” a weekly feature that looks at bad advice and how to avoid it.
ROB TV says the first episode will focus on debt, savings and cash management. Recent statistics show that household debt in Canada is at an all time high while the savings rate is at an all time low. Lovett-Reid and her guests will examine ways for Canadians to reduce their levels of debt, increase savings and make better financial decisions.
Other episodes will feature subjects such as cash management, investing options, tax planning, financing a child’s education and estate planning and wills.
“Money Wise will cover the bread and butter financial issues that matter most to Canadian families,” said Jack Fleischmann, ROBTv’s executive producer. “And, we are putting the editorial and production resources of Canada’s business network behind it to ensure first rate content.”
