(December 11 – 10:00 ET) – The Credit Institute of Canada is inviting senior credit professionals to its biannual Credit Conference from June 13 – 15, 2001 at Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario.

The conference will cover topics in Commercial Credit including Debtor and Creditor Relationships in Cross-Border Insolvencies, Alternate Dispute Resolutions, the Changing Face of Fraud, Fraud In The New Technologies and Portfolio Management: Risk and Opportunity Analysis.

Retail Credit topics will include Retail Credit Issues, E-commerce, and Early Warning Signs.

The keynote speaker will be Stephanie Perrin, chief information officer, Zero Knowledge Systems. Perrin, also the director of Privacy Policy in the Electronic Commerce Task Force of Industry Canada, will give an overview of the factors that led to the development of the privacy legislation and how it will apply to companies in Canada in the consumer credit field, and some of the new technological issues associated with electronic commerce.
