Maureen Jensen, chairwoman and CEO of the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), has been named vice chairwoman of the regulatory training organization, Toronto Centre for Global Leadership in Financial Supervision.

The Toronto Centre also named Stefan Ingves to replace John Palmer as its chairman. Palmer, who was formerly superintendent of financial institutions Canada, is retiring.

Ingves is also the chairman of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and is governor of Sweden’s central bank. He has been on the board of the Toronto Centre since 1999.

Toronto Centre says that the appointments of Ingves and Jensen “will ensure continuity of Toronto Centre’s mission to deliver high-quality, capacity-building programs in partnership with international central banks and financial regulatory and supervisory agencies to promote financial stability and financial inclusion.”
