Each week, we summarize notable moves across the financial industry.
- Antonio Servedio is now executive director, strategy, projects and central planning at CIBC Private Wealth, a new role. Servedio was previously senior director of financial planning and advice at CIBC, and has held several senior level roles since joining CIBC in 1991.
- Jeffrey MacDonald has joined Wellington-Altus as senior manager, national advisory desk, a role that will see him heading up a new team focused on advisor productivity, profitability and capacity to serve clients. MacDonald has more than two decades of industry experience, including as a financial advisor, national accounts manager and consultant at firms including Canada Life, CIBC, CI Financial and RBC. He’s also a columnist for Advisor.ca.
- Igor Manukhov has joined Raymond James as a senior portfolio manager, after 16 years at BMO Nesbitt Burns. Manukhov brings his team of four in total, including financial planner Peter Kuntyj.
- Sean Moir and his team have joined Designed Wealth Management, departing Mandeville Private Client Inc. after 12 years. The portfolio manager has close to 20 years of industry experience, starting as an investment and insurance advisor with Dundee Wealth and then Manulife Securities.
- Stephanie Greer has been named president and CEO of Assuris, effective May 20. Greer, who is currently executive vice-president with the not-for-profit protecting life insurance policyholder will succeed Paul Petrelli, who is retiring after five years at the helm. Greer has held executive-level roles with Assuris since 2011.
- Wing-Yee Wong has been appointed chief financial officer of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario. She brings 20 years of experience in public sector financial roles, most recently as director of finance with Elections Ontario. Wong has also been finance director with Supply Ontario, and held senior manager and controller roles with provincial ministries.
And finally, Women in ETFs Canada is looking for mentors and mentees to join its 2026 mentorship program. Mentors can register online, while mentees are asked to email a resume and covering letter summarizing their goals for participating in the program to CanadaMentorship@womeninetfs.com by Jan. 26. Pairings will be announced in early February.
