(November 27 – 10:05 ET) – Templeton Management Ltd. is adopting the name Franklin Templeton Investments Corp., and embracing an aggressive new strategy.
The new name reflects Templeton’s ownership by Franklin Resources Inc. of San Mateo, Calif. Franklin Templeton Investments says it will bring advisors and investors greater diversity in their choice of investment products.
Every fund will be managed by one of Franklin Templeton Investments’ proprietary investment management teams, each with a distinct investment management style.
The new strategy is already underway the firm says, pointing to six new Franklin Funds, each offering growth-style management that were launched in June. Also the acquisition of Bissett Investment Management is complete and the operations of the two organizations are now fully integrated.
