CIBC World Markets has added seven new bodies to its Consumer and Business
Services equity research team. The appointments are the latest moves in CIBC World Markets’ ongoing expansion of its Consumer and Business Services operation, both in investment banking and equity research.

“The addition of these seven highly regarded consumer and business services equity research experts demonstrates CIBC World Markets’ resolve to provide the finest research in this sector,” says John Parks, co-head of equity research.

John Glass, an executive director, and Jeffrey Farmer, a research associate, will cover the restaurant industry. They join CIBC World Markets from Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown’s consumer and business services group. David Doft, executive director, and Ashley Ammon, research associate, will cover the advertising and marketing services sector. Doft and Ammon join CIBC World Markets from ABN Amro Securities. Thatcher Thompson, Chandy Smith and Lawrence Lee join CIBC from Merrill Lynch & Co., where they covered business services.
