Canadian company that promises to
give its customers the power to
walk on water has just filed a
preliminary prospectus for an
initial public offering.
Future Beach Corp. of
Vaudreuil, Québec, is
looking to raise between $3-5
million to manufacture
environmentally-friendly
watercraft. Future Beach developed
the “Water Walker” in 1995. The
company claims it allows ordinary
people to replicate the divine
miracle by “becoming water
pedestrians” for about US$595.
The company started distributing
its products in 1998 and has
received public exposure on the
Price is Right, Good Morning
America and a Playboy photo
spread. It is planning to ramp up
its promotional activities in
2000.
Groome Capital.com Inc. of
Montreal is acting as agent for the
offering. Groome offers IPOs
online and the old fashioned way.
It currently has five online IPOs
on offer, including the sold out
deal for Chapters Online Inc.
