RBC Funds Inc. are reporting mutual fund net sales of $143 million for the month of March 2002. This figure includes long-term net sales of $197 million and money market redemptions of $54 million.
RBC Fund’s net sales results for the twelve months ending March 31, 2002 increased $3.7 billion over the same period in 2001.
“In March we saw a lot of people move from our money market funds into our income funds, large cap equity funds and other portfolio products,” says Brenda Vince, president and COO of RBC Funds Inc. “Clearly investors are moving back into the market, and evidently feel comfortable now assuming some risk with equity investments.”
The Monthly Income Fund was the top selling fund at $73 million, followed by the Royal US Equity at $26 million and the Royal Dividend at $22 million. Portfolio solutions, including Royal Select and Select Choices Portfolios, contributed $111 million to overall net sales. This number for Royal Select Choices includes the sales of third party funds incorporated in the portfolios.
