Sun Life Global Investments (Canada) Inc. (SLGI) has announced it is terminating Sentry Investments Inc. as the subadvisor to Sun Life Sentry Infrastructure Fund.

The decision is due to unexpected portfolio manager changes at Sentry following the firm’s acquisition by CI Financial Corp., SLGI says in its announcement.

Effective, Nov. 1, the fund will be renamed Sun Life Infrastructure Fund. The fund’s investment objective and investment strategies remain unchanged.

SLGI has appointed State Street Global Markets Canada Inc. as the transition manager to the fund, effective as of the end of business Oct. 31.

State Street will serve as transition manager to the fund while SLGI seeks an appropriate replacement for Sentry.

SLGI says it is monitoring the integration progress between CI and Sentry for any further changes that may be required. SLGI will announce the new subadvisor as soon as a selection is made.
